Green Roofs

Objectives
• Work within the framework agreement for climate change that Kuwait signed in April 2016 in Washington.
• Increase the green area in Kuwait by starting to plant roofs of buildings.
• Reducing the UHIE in major cities.
• Reducing pollution in cities resulting from emissions and dust, as green roofs act as air filters.
• Noise reduction.
• Adding an aesthetic view of the urban environment in Kuwait.
• Growth and multiplication of Kuwaiti endemic plants when cultivated.
• The economic benefit of green spaces on buildings.
• Thermal insulation of the roof of the buildings and reduce the cost of air conditioning and heating.
